Check window for proper operation and alignment
before installing inner panel water deflector.
Prior to installation, lubricate entire length of
window lower sash channel cam.
d. Adjustments—
6039 Styles
1. Up and down adjustment of door window
assembly.
a. Through inner panel access holes, loosen
screws securing front male wedge plate and rear
stop assembly to window lower sash channel.
b. Reposition window assembly as required,
adjust wedge plate and stop accordingly; then
tighten wedge plate and stop assembly attaching
screws. Check for proper operation of window
assembly.
IMPORTANT: Front or rear of window as-
sembly may be adjusted up or down by adjusting
either front male wedge plate or rear stop as-
sembly up or down as required. In cases of
major adjustments, however, both should be
adjusted.
NOTE: If rear of window assembly cannot
be adjusted high enough, rear door ventilator
assembly must be adjusted, as described in
Note 49.
2. Fore and aft adjustment of rear door window
assembly:
a. Loosen adjusting stud nut at lower end of
front guide cam assembly and screws on top of
inner panel securing upper end of cam assembly.
b. Position window fore or aft as required; then
tighten screws and lower adjusting stud nut.
Check window for proper operation and reseal
lower adjusting stud and nut with body caulking
compound.
NOTE: If window assembly cannot be ad-
justed far enough rearward, first adjust venti-
lator assembly.
3. In or out adjustments at top of window
assembly:
NOTE: Front and rear window adjustments
must be coordinated.
a. With window in a full up position, loosen ad-
justing stud nut at lower end of front guide cam
assembly and guide cam attaching screws at top
of door inner panel.
b. Loosen ventilator division channel lower ad-
justing stud nut and ventilator assembly adjusting
stud nut.
c. Adjust top of window and/or ventilator as-
semblies in or out as required and tighten stud
nuts and screws securing upper end of front guide
cam assembly. Check window for proper opera-
tion. Reseal lower adjusting studs and nuts with
body caulking compound.
48. Rear Door Ventilator
Regulator Assembly—

a. Removal and Installation
1. Raise door window, remove door trim as-
sembly and detach inner panel water deflector
sufficiently to expose large access hole in door
inner panel.
2. Disconnect wiring harness feed wires from
ventilator motor at connector.
3. Remove ventilator tee shaft attaching bolt
and ventilator regulator attaching bolts, Fig.
16-50.
4. Disengage ventilator regulator from venti-
lator tee shaft and remove electric regulator as-
sembly through large access hole.
5. After installation, check operation of electric
ventilator assembly prior to installing inner panel
water deflector and door trim pad.
b. Adjustments
Excessive play or flutter of ventilator at pivot
shaft, when ventilator is in an open position, can
be c o r r e c t e d
by tightening ventilator tee
shaft-to-regulator attaching bolt, Fig. 16-50.
