BODY
e. Folding Top Linkage
Apply a few drops of light oil to all bearing
points indicated by arrows. Wipe off excess
lubricant to prevent soiling trim.
f. Door Lock Rotary Bolt and Housing
Wipe off dirt and apply a thin coat of stick-
type lubricant and oil to areas indicated by arrows.
g. Sunshade Rod
Remove sunshade assembly from support and
apply a thin film of stick-type lubricant to end
of sunshade rod at two points indicated by 1.
Wipe off all excess lubricant.
h. Instrument Panel Compartment Door Hinge
Wipe off dirt and apply a few drops of dripless
oil to the hinge frictional points. Operate door
and wipe off excess lubricant.
i. Folding Top Lift Cylinder Piston Rods
With folding top in raised position, wipe ex-
posed portion of each top lift cylinder piston rod
with a cloth dampened with brake fluid to remove
any oxidation or accumulated grime. With an-
other clean cloth, apply a light film of brake
fluid to the piston rods to act as a lubricant.
NOTE: Use caution so that brake fluid does
not come in contact with any painted or trimmed
parts of the body.
«J. Door Jamb Switch
Wipe off dirt and apply a thin coat of lubricant
to the end surface of switch plunger. Wipe off
excess lubricant.
k. Gas Tank Filler Door Hinge
Apply a few drops of dripless oil to frictional
points of door hinge. Work door several times
and wipe off excess lubricant.
I. Rear Compartment Lid HOiges and Torque Rods
Apply lubricant to hinge and torque rods at
friction points.
m. Door Lock Outside Handle
Apply a light coat of lubricant to surface of
lock cylinder shaft contacting bell crank.

n. Door Window Regulator
Apply a coat of lubricant to areas indicated by
2, Fig. 16-3. Lubrication of front door window
regulator is typical of lubrication of rear door
and quarter regulators.
o. Door Window Cams
Apply a coat of lubricant to channel portions of
cams. Typical front door window regulator cam
lubrication area is indicated by 2, Fig. 16-4.
p. Rear Quarter Window Cams
Apply a coat of lubricant to channel portion of
cam and guide assemblies, indicated at 2 in Fig.
16-5.
q. Door Locking Mechanism
Apply lubricant to pivot points at ends of a}l
connecting rods.
