Loading the vehicle

& WARNING Risk of an accident when driv‐
ing with an overloaded tire
Overloaded tires may overheat and burst as a
consequence. Overloaded tires can also
impair the steering and handling characteris‐
tics and lead to brake failure.
Observe the load rating of the tires.
#
The load rating must be at least half the
#
gross axle weight rating of the vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz recommends you use
the load-bearing index, which is given in
the vehicle documents.
