11 Heating system inspection and maintenance

11.9 Inspection and maintenance reports

B Sign and date the completed inspection work.
Inspection work
1. Check the general condition of the heating system
2. Visual inspection and function check of the heating system
3. Check the gas and water-carrying components of the system for:
– Leaks during operation
– Tightness test
– Visible signs of corrosion
– Signs of ageing
4. Check the combustion chamber and heating surface for contami-
nation; shut down the system for this step
5. Check the condensing heat exchanger system for the following:
– Contamination
– Damage or hardening of gaskets.
6. Check the burner ( burner documentation)
7. Check the combustion air supply and flue gas pipe for:
– Function and safety
– Blockages in the ventilation air system
– In the case of a concentric combustion air supply and flue gas pi-
pe, check for blockages in the condensed water discharge
– Clean the condensate drain and siphon.
8. Check the expansion vessel pre-charge pressure
9. Check the function of the DHW cylinder and corrosion protection
anode ( DHW cylinder documentation)
10. Check the control unit settings (
