B Carry out the following instructions ca-
refully to ensure the boiler does not
leak. This applies to balanced flue boi-
lers in particular.
B Check packing cord on burner door. Replace dama-
ged or hardened packing cord.
USER INFORMATION
You can obtain suitable packing cord from
our sales offices.
B Close the burner door with the two hexagon bolts.
Tighten the hexagon bolts evenly (approx. 10 Nm) to
properly seal the burner door.
B Seal the pressure testing nozzle for the combustion
chamber pressure.
B For balanced flue operation, fit the combustion air
hose to the burner.
B Attach the power plug to the SAFe.
11.3.2 Wet cleaning (chemical cleaning)
When wet cleaning the cast iron boiler block, use a clea-
ning agent that is suitable for the respective contamina-
tion (soot or encrusting).
Follow the same procedure as for cleaning with brushes
(
Chapter 11.3.1, page 52).
USER INFORMATION
Observe the operating instructions of the
cleaning agent. You may need to proceed
differently from the method described he-
re.
B Cover the control unit with foil to prevent spray from
entering it.
B Spray cleaning agent evenly into the hot gas flues.
B Close the burner door, plug the mains supply plug
into the SAFe and start the heating system.
B Heat up the boiler to a boiler water temperature of at
least 70 °C.
B Shut down the heating system.
B Allow boiler to cool; open burner door.
B Brush out the hot gas flues.
