Connection diagram overview
A connection kit that must be ordered separately is required for connection of the mini HHU.
This connection kit contains a metal flange socket made for installation in the control housing
on the machine and a terminating connector for overriding the Emergency Stop circuit when
the mini HHU is not connected.

Note
Connecting the mini HHU to the MCP Interface PN:
● Axis selection switch to X51
● Function keys to X52 and X55
● Handwheel to X60 or X62
Note that the SINUMERIK 828D software supports a maximum of three handwheels.
Using the USB machine control panel:
When using a MCP 483 USB or MCP 310 USB, the mini handheld unit is either connected via
the MCP Interface PN or a PP72/48D PN (PP72/48D 2/2A PN) I/O module.
