Input n – level
You use this device parameter to define the input logic.
Setting range: break contact / make contact
Caution
With 'Input n - action': 'Emergency start', 'Motor CLOCKWISE', 'Motor
COUNTER-CLOCKWISE' and 'Trip reset', 'Input n - level' can only be parameter-
ized as a make contact!
Caution
If 'Input n - level' is parameterized from break contact to make contact and the
corresponding
'Input n - action' is parameterized to 'Trip without restart', with an open input
the signaling bit 'Input tripping' is set and switched off accordingly due to the
input signal delay!
Caution
The input level of the digital inputs is always transferred to the controller (PLC)
as a make contact, regardless of the 'Input n - level' parameter (process image
of the inputs in data record 69 and diagnosis in data record 92).
Input n – action
Various actions can be triggered when an input signal is present. You can param-
eterize the following actions depending on 'Input n - level', 'Input n - signal', and
'Operating mode':
Caution
If 'Input n - signal' = latching and 'Input n - action' = Motor CLOCKWISE /
COUNTER-CLOCKWISE, at least one input must always be parameterized with
input action 'Tripping ...' or 'Quick stop'.
If this rule is violated, the motor starter rejects the parameters and outputs an
appropriate diagnosis message!
