Upper / lower current limit
(can only be parameterized for high feature motor starters)
You can enter an upper and / or a lower current limit.
Example:
• 'Mixing mass too viscous', i.e. upper current limit is exceeded.
• 'Idling because drive belt torn', i.e. the lower current limit is undershot.
Caution
The current limits are not activated until the class time elapses (for example,
after 10 seconds for class 10) to permit the time for starting to be bridged.
If one of the current limits is violated, the motor starter responds with either a
trip or a warning.
Setting range for lower current limit:
18.75% to 100% of the rated operating current
Setting range for upper current limit:
50% to 150% of the rated operating current
Blocking time (can only be parameterized for high feature motor starters)
The time during which a block can exist without the motor starter switching off.
If a block still exists after the blocking time has elapsed, the motor starter
switches off.
Setting range: 1 second to 5 seconds.
Blocking current (can only be parameterized for high feature motor starter)
If the parameterized blocking current is exceeded, the motor starter detects
blocking. From this point, blocking time monitoring is started. If the blocking cur-
rent flows for longer than the parameterized blocking time, the motor starter
itself generated a trip command.
Caution
If a block still exists after the blocking time has elapsed, the motor starter
switches off.
Setting range:
10-12
150% to 1000% of the rated operating current.
For sDSSte / sDSte and sRSSte / sRSte, 150% - 800%
applies.
