10.7
Inputs
Description
With the device function 'Inputs', the motor starter can run various
actions that you can parameterize. The signals at both digital inputs are evalu-
ated for this purpose. You can connect the inputs directly to sensors (PNP) in 2-
wire and 3-wire circuits.
The input actions of the individual digital inputs and their effect on the motor
starter functions are independent of each other (=OR function).
10.7.1
Device parameters
Input signal extension
This parameter can be used to extend a short input signal in relation to the
actual pending input signal. This ensures reliable transfer to the control system
(compensation for bus transfer times and processing times in the control sys-
tem).
Setting range: 0 milliseconds to 200 milliseconds
Input signal delay
In the interests of interference immunity, you can set a debounce time for the
inputs.
Setting range: 10 milliseconds to 80 milliseconds
Input n – signal
You can use this device parameter to define whether the input level of the digi-
tal inputs is to be saved or not:
• latching, i.e. self-locking mode
• not latching, i.e. inching mode.
10-20
(can only be parameterized for high feature motor starters)
