5.1 R aymic handset c ontrols

The Raymic handset's controls are shown below.
1.
Power — Press to power t he handset o n. Press
and hold for 3 seconds to power t he handset o ff.
Momentary press to access the shortcut l ist.
2. PTT(Push to T alk) — Press and hold to send a voice
message. Release to return to receive mode.
Note: The maximum transmit t ime is limited to 5
minutes to prevent u n-intentional t ransmissions
from occupying the VHF channel.
3. Microphone location
4. Volume Up and Volume Down — Press to adjust
volume or s quelch up or d own.
5. LCD screen
6. Back — Move back through menu options.

OK / m enu button
— Press button to access menu /
DSC functions and to confirm selections.
8. 16 / +
— When powered on press to switch between
priority channels.
9. HI/LO — Press to switch between High (25 W) a nd
low (1 W ) t ransmit p ower.
10. DISTRESS — Lift u p the spring loaded cover a nd
press this button to make a DSC distress call.

11. Channel U p and Channel D own — Changes the
channel u p or d own.
12. VOL/SQ — Press button to switch between volume
and squelch control.

5.2 Powering the Base station

The Base station automatically powers up when
connected to a suitable power s upply.
The Base station is powered down by unplugging from
the power s upply or, if a pplicable, b y tripping it's circuit
breaker.
Powering the handset
With the Base station powered On and the Handset
connected:
1. Press the
Power button, l ocated on the top of t he
Handset.
The Handset w ill p ower o n.
2. T o power o ff t he Handset, p ress and hold the
button for a pproximately 3 seconds, u ntil t he screen
turns off.
