a thicker w ire gauge (e.g. 14 AWG (2.08 mm

• An important r equirement f or a ll l engths of p ower
cable (including any extension) i s to ensure that t here
is a continuous minimum voltage of 1 0.8 V at t he
product's power c onnector, with a fully flat b attery at
11 V .
Important: Be aware that s ome products in your
system (such as sonar m odules) c an create voltage
peaks at c ertain times, w hich may impact t he voltage
available to other p roducts during the peaks.

Connecting handsets and cables

Follow the steps below to connect h andsets and
extension cables together.
1. If fi tted, u nscrew and remove the dust c ap from the
relevant c onnector.
2. Ensure the cable connectors are correctly orientated,
before insertion.
3. Ensure connectors are fully inserted, b efore locking..
4. Tighten locking collars by Rotating clockwise.
Handset e xtension cables
Handset s tation cabling can be extended using
approved extension cables.
The maximum length of c able from the Handset t o the
Base station should not e xceed 50 m (164 ft)
