A passive speaker c an be connected to a handset
station using the RCA audio connector a vailable on the
Handset a daptor c able.

The Passive speaker i ncludes a 2m (6.56 ft) a udio cable
terminated with a Female RCA connector.

4.6 NMEA 2000 / S eaTalkng®
connection
Y our p roduct c an transmit d ata to devices connected
on Sea Talkng ® or N MEA 2000 CAN bus networks.
Connection is established using the DeviceNet
connector l ocated on the bottom of t he unit.
Use the supplied DeviceNet t o Sea

cable to connect y our p roduct t o an available spur
connection on a Sea Talkng ® backbone.
2. Alternatively you can connect y our p roduct t o a
NMEA 2000 backbone using a standard DeviceNet
cable (not s upplied).
Note:
The product m ust b e connected to a correctly

terminated backbone . Y ou cannot c onnect y our
product d irectly to a MFD.
2. Refer t o the instructions supplied with your
Sea Talkng ® / N MEA 2000 device for d etails on
creating a backbone.

1. R
otate the locking collar o n the unit t o the unlocked
position.
2. Ensure the cable's connector i s correctly oriented.
3. Fully insert t he cable connector.
4. Rotate locking collar c lockwise (2 clicks) u ntil i t i s in
the locked position.
