The Two Line Serv ice

Two voice lines with dif fer ent phone num bers, Line 1 and
Line 2, may be as signed to your phone. The abil ity to re ceive
and send text mes sages (SMS), is only avail able on Line 1.
The Two Line serv ice (also called Al ter nate Line Serv ice,
ALS) may not be avail able on all net works and may re quire a
sepa rate sub scrip tion.
L1/L2 in di ca tor is not avail able in Ana log mode, but uncon -
di tional for wards on re spec tive lines are still in di cated.
Se lecting a Line
The line cur rently se lected is in di cated in the dis play with the
let ter ' L' and a digit. If, for ex am ple, you have line two se -
lected, you will see ' L2' in the dis play.
To change to the line that is not cur rently se lected:

Scroll to the Change to menu.

To change to the line dis played on the bot tom row,
press .

From now on, all out go ing calls are made on the se lected line.
You can how ever, be called on both lines.
Note! In stead of ac cess ing the menu sys tem, you can press and hold
down the 2 key to change line, pro vided the phone is in
standby mode. Clear the dis play first, us ing the
Receiving a Call on Li ne 1 or Li ne 2
When you are called, the ques tion An swer? Is re placed by
Li ne1? or Li ne2? de pend ing on what line you have se -
lected.
Note! If you are en gaged in a call on one line, you must end that call
first bef ore an swer ing the call on the other line.
Dif fer ent Set tings for Each Line
You can have dif fer ent set tings for each line, for ex am ple the
tone of the ring sig nal, call for wards, call bars and wait ing
func tion. The call me ters in the Info menu show the call
times (call costs) for the line cur rently se lected.
Changing the Name of the Two Lines
Your CF888 gives you the abil ity to per son al ize the names of
the two lines. You might, for ex am ple, want to call Li ne 1 ' Pr -
ivate' and Li ne 2 ' Work' . To change the name of Line1:

From the Set tings menu, se lect Line 1 Tag and
press

En ter the name (maxi mum 12 char ac ters), us ing the nu -
meric keys and press
key.

To change the name of Line 2, se lect Line 2 Tag in -
stead.
