Se lect ing a System
SYSTEM
This menu al lows you to se lect your sys tem pref er ence:
GSM/Analog

* PCS/Ana log is the rec om mended set ting.
If you se lect PCS only, the phone will not work in Ana log
GSM only
net works. If you se lect Ana log only, the phone will not work
in PCS net works.
Note!
PCS is also called GSM 1900.

• Scroll through the list of pref er ences and press

select.
This fea ture is SIM de pend ent.
If you are us ing Ana log mode, you have the fol low ing op -
tions:

* Us ing A then B, or B then A, in creases your roam ing op -
tions.
Note!
If this fea ture is not avail able on your SIM, the sys tem will
de fault to A then B, or B then A, de pend ing on your home
sys tem side.

In Ana log mode, when roam ing on a non- home sys tem, the

na tional roam ing in di ca tor will be dis played. The roam ing in -
di ca tor will over write your date. To view the date, when in
standby, press any of the vol ume keys.
List of Preferred Net works
NETWORKS
This fea ture is not avail able in Ana log mode.
Edit list
You can cre ate a list that de fines in which or der your phone
will se lect a net work dur ing auto mat ic net work se lec tion,
when your home net work is not within range.

The number of net works that can be stored in the list de -
pends on your SIM card.
The Edit list func tion lets you re view the net works in
the list. Apart from re ar rang ing the or der of the net works,
you can add new net works to the list as well as de lete net -
works from it.
