SETTINGS In the Set tings menu, scroll to Data menus.

Installing the Infrared Modem
Bef ore you start
Make sure that the phone' s IR port is ac ti vated.
To ac ti vate the IR port:

Step 1 – Check In fra red Sup port
Bef ore in stall ing the in fra red mo dem you also need to check
if the Mi cro soft In fra red sup port for Win dows ver sion 2.0
has been in stalled.
Note! It is rec om mended that you use Win dows ver sion 2.0 for op -
ti mal per form ance.
To do this, and also to check the ver sion of the ex ist ing in fra -
red sup port on your com puter, do the fol low ing:

Check the ver sion of the In fra red Sup port for Win dows
95 in the list un der the In stall/Un in stall tab.
Ver sion 2.0
•
If you have ver sion 2.0 in stalled you do not need to in -
stall the in fra red sup port. Go to sec tion ' Step 4 – In stall
In fra red Modem' to con tinue the in stal la tion of the in -
fra red mo dem.
• Ver sion 1.0
If you have ver sion 1.0, you need to un in stall this ver -
sion bef ore in stall ing in fra red sup port ver sion 2.0. Go
to ' Un in stall In fra red Sup port' to con tinue the in stal la -
tion of the in fra red mo dem.
• No In fra red Sup port In stalled
Go to ' Step 3 – In stall In fra red Sup port' to con tinue the
in stal la tion of the in fra red mo dem.
