3.2.12.4 FUSER UPPER ASSY (PL9.2.30) Removal

1. Remove the EXIT TRAY ASSY. (See Section 3.2.13.1.)

2. Pull out the FUSER ASSY.

3. Remove the MAIN FUSER ASSY. (See Section 3.2.12.2.)

4. Remove the UPPER GUIDE ASSY. (See Section 3.2.12.3.)

5. Free the harness of the TEMP. SENSOR ASSY by unhooking from the

FUSER UPPER ASSY.

NOTE: When the FUSER UPPER ASSY is removed in the following, the

FUSER FRONT COVER and FUSER REAR COVER will no longer be

secured. Be careful not to allow the covers to fall.

6. Remove the 2 screws (gold, w/washer, 8mm) and 2 screws (silver, 6mm)

(total of 4 screws) securing the FUSER UPPER ASSY, and remove the

FUSER UPPER ASSY.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the surface of the HEAT ROLL with

screwdriver, etc., when removing the TEMP. SENSOR ASSY while

performing the following.

7. Remove the screw (silver, tapping, 14mm) securing the TEMP. SENSOR

ASSY, and remove the TEMP. SENSOR ASSY from the FUSER UPPER

The front screws (gold, w/washer, 8mm) also secure the H/R

HEATER. The rear screws (gold, w/washer, 8mm) also

secure the HEATER WIRE.
