File compatibility with the KROSS (previous model)

The KROSS can convert and load .PCG and .SNG files of KROSS
(previous model) format.
The KROSS (previous model) itself cannot load KROSS format
.PCG and .SNG files. Song data (.SNG) can be loaded into the
KROSS (previous model) by saving it as a standard MIDI file
(SMF format). (see page 185)
When loading KROSS (previous model) format .PCG or .SNG
files into the KROSS, please be aware of the following limitations.
Parameters for functions not found on the KROSS
Since the KROSS does not have these functions, the related
parameters will not be loaded.

Multisamples and drum samples
The KROSS (previous model) and the KROSS have different
internal multisamples and drum samples. When loading, similar
multisamples or drum samples will be substituted.

Bank/number structure of the KROSS and the
KROSS (previous model)
The bank and number structure of combinations, programs, drum
kits, and the arpeggiator differ between the KROSS and the
KROSS (previous model). The following table shows the
correspondence when a KROSS (previous model) .PCG file is
loaded into this unit..

Note: Combinations and programs are loaded into the user banks.
Note: By opening a PCG file and individually loading a specific
bank or specific program, you can load it into the desired bank or
number.
Note: Drum kits and user arpeggio patterns are loaded into the INT
bank. This means that the sound of the KROSS's combinations and
programs might be affected.
