How the Image is Processed
The CCD (Charged Coupled Device) generates
three analog video signals.
The SBU (Sensor Board Unit) converts the
three analog signals to 10-bit digital signals. It
then sends these signals to the IPU (Image
Processing Unit).
The IPU processes the image. Then the image
data (4 bits/pixel) is sent to the controller.
