Staple hammer motor [A]: Operates the stapler
Staple sheet sensor [B]: Makes sure that there is a sheet of staples at
the stapling position
Staple sensor [C]: Detects when there are no staples
Stapler rotation HP sensor [D]: Makes sure that the staple hammer
mechanism moves back to the home position after each stapling
operation
The staple hammer is controlled by a gear in the stapler unit. This gear must go to
home position after each stapling operation.
A staple jam is detected when the load on the staple hammer motor is too high.
