KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS

ROTATION SENDING SETTING

This setting allows you to select whether or not a vertically
placed A4 original is rotated to a horizontal orientation
(A4R), an A5R original is rotated to A5, or an 8-1/2" x 11"
original is rotated to 8-1/2" x 11"R before transmission.
The image is rotated clockwise. (A4R originals, A5
originals, and 8-1/2" x 11"R originals are not rotated.)
In Taiwan, select whether or not an A4 original is rotated
to A4R, a B5R original is rotated to B5, an A5R original is
rotated to A5, or an 8-1/2" x 11" original is rotated to 8-1/2"
x 11"R before transmission.
(However, A4R, B5, A5, and 8-1/2" x 11" R originals
cannot be rotated.)

CALL TIMER AT MEMORY SENDING

When sending a fax by automatic transmission
("Storing transmission jobs (memory transmission)"
(p.16)), this setting lets you select the amount of time
that the machine waits before breaking the connection
when the other machine does not respond to your
machine's calling tone. If the other machine does not
respond within this set time, your machine will
automatically break the connection.
Time selections are [30 sec.], [45 sec.], and [60 sec.].
(In Hong Kong, select [30 sec] or [45 sec].)

RECALL IN CASE OF LINE BUSY

When sending a document, this setting is used to
select whether your machine will automatically
re-attempt the call when the other machine fails to
answer or the line is busy. To disable automatic
recalling, select the [NO RECALL] checkbox.
Settings that can be selected vary by region. See the
table below.

QUICK ON LINE SENDING

When this program is enabled and memory
transmission is selected, the machine will call the
receiving machine while the original pages are being
scanned and begin transmission from pages that have
finished scanning.
When the program is disabled, transmission will not
begin until all pages have been scanned (with the
exception of manual transmission and direct
transmission). ("Quick On-line" (p.15))
