Step 10: Connect and Configure Options

When there are optional PCI boards or peripheral devices to connect to the main unit, power off the
main unit. Then, for connecting them, follow the instructions in "PCI board" in the separate volume
of the User's Guide and the manual of the devices.
When the mounted memory is 4GB or more, specify /PAE switch to BOOT.INI file.
In order to use the entire mounted memory from the Windows system, /PAE switch needs to be
specified. If it is not specified, the Windows system only uses a part of the mounted memory.
Refer to Microsoft Product Support Services for details of specification method.
BOOT.INI file exist on C:\. It is displayed by clicking [Folder Options] – [View] in Explorer and
choosing [Show hidden files and folders] option.
Below shows the example of the modification.

Make dual configuration when you added LAN and disks. For details, see "Step 7 Set Dual LAN
Configuration" on page 4-23 and "Step 8 Set Dual Disk Configuration" on page 4-29.
