S12F-R1432: The dual controller model comes with redundant,
dual-active RAID controllers which support all high-availability
features including mirrored cache, controller failover/failback
capability, and intelligent load-balancing between partner
controllers. If one controller fails, the surviving controller
automatically takes over in a way that is transparent to host.
S12F-G1433: The single controller model comes with one (1)
controller module. This model cannot be upgraded to a dual-
redundant subsystem by adding a second controller.

Chassis Overview

The subsystem is housed in an enhanced 2U chassis divided into
front and rear sections, which are respectively accessed through
front and rear panels. The enclosure is designed to be installed into
a rack or cabinet. Please acquaint yourself with the locations of
individual components before proceeding with hardware installation.
Components accessed through the front panel are referred to as
"Front Panel Components" and components accessed through
the rear panel are referred to as "Rear Panel Components."

Front Panel Overview

The front section of the subsystem features a 4x3 layout for twelve
(12) 3.5-inch drives. Two (2) forearm handles on the sides of the
chassis help with retrieving the chassis from a rack cabinet. The left-
side forearm handles comes with an LCD keypad panel. The LCD
panel provides easy access to the subsystem's monitoring and
configuration utilities.
