WIREFREE MAGNETIC
CONTACT DETECTOR(S)

INSTALLATION

Two Magnetic Contact Detectors are supplied in the
standard package.
Detectors can be purchased separately if required. Any
number of Magnetic Contact Detectors can be used
with your system, providing they are all coded with the
system House Code and are within radio range of the
Control Unit.
Magnetic

To set the House Code and fit the batteries, proceed
as follows:
ENSURE THAT THE CONTROL UNIT IS STILL IN
THE TEST MODE
1. Remove the battery cover by sliding and lifting off.
DO NOT use a screw driver to lever off.
2. Remove the battery holder by carefully tilting up
the end and sliding the connectors off of the
printed circuit board.
3 Slide the batteries supplied into the battery holder
ensuring that the positive (+) side is uppermost on
each battery as it is installed.
4. Carefully refit the battery holder into the Detector
ensuring that the spring connectors slide onto
either side of the circuit board.
5 Using a small screwdriver or ball-point pen, set the
miniature switches 1-8 to the same combination of
'ON' and 'OFF' as the House Code switches in the
Control Unit.
Note: Once the House Code is set, press and release
the detector anti-tamper switch. A 3 second, two
tone alarm will be emitted from the Control Unit
Siren. This confirms that the House Code is correct.
6. If the Magnetic Contact Detector has to be
active in the Part Armed mode, or if activation
of the detector has to be delayed during entry
(Part or Full Armed) set the miniature switches
9 and 10 'ON'. Otherwise set switch 9 'ON' and
switch 10 'OFF'.
Note: Any other combination of switches 9 and 10
will not operate with your P500S Control Unit.

on the door or window then press and release
the anti-tamper switch.
