The computer has two memory sockets for 200 pin Small Outline Dual In-line Memory Modules (SO-DIMM) DDR II
Removal
(DDR2) supporting 800 MHz. The main memory can be expanded up to 2GB. The SO-DIMM modules supported are
1024MB and 2048MB DDR Modules. The total memory size is automatically detected by the POST routine once you

1. Turn off the computer, and turn it over and remove the battery
2. Locate the RAM & CPU bay cover and remove screws
3. Carefully (a fan and cable are attached to the under side of the cover) lift up the bay cover
4. Carefully disconnect the fan cable

The heat sink, and
CPU area in general,
contains parts which
are subject to high tem-
peratures. Allow the
area time to cool before
removing these parts.

RAM Module Speeds
Use either 800MHz DDRII (DDR2) mod-
ules of the same brand. Do not mix
DRAM speeds/brands in order to prevent
unexpected system behavior.
