16.1 FRONT WHEEL
a Removal from lork (See fig. 148)
Proceed as follows:
• set up the moto rcycle on the cen te r stand and
place support ing sland part n. 18 9 1 24 50 (32 in fig .
28) under the sump w ith a suitable wooden board
t o keep the w heel 01[ Ihe g ro und:
• undo Lhe caliper securing screws fro m the lell
for k slider and d iscon nect the slide r from cafJpe r
«A » w ith its pipe;
• undo wheel sp indle fixing nut and washer .. 8 ,. on
the LlH s ide ;
• loosen lhe ba llam cover sc rews 1 0 the wheel
spind le " G,,;
- wilhdraw wheel spindle frOm the hub. observing
the mountmg pasilia n of washer ...

and spacer .. F .. :
• remove the R / H braking disc from the c aliper o n
the lork cover. and take oul the wheel from the lark
legs.
b RemovIng the fr ont wheel hub (See lig . 149)
After removing the wheel. the hub o n il is removed
as follows .
• undo six self-locking nuts " A " . take o ut th eir
screws

and remove both diSCS "Cj:
•
using the special pu nch. remove both bearing s
"0,, and spacers " E" .
Important After removing the wheel from file lark
it is strongly recommended not to actuate th e brake
control lever on the handlebar as chis m&y r:& USO
the plungers
[a
drop out from [he master cylinder
with consequent loss of fluid .
1/ this should happen, push the plungers up again
in their housings and top up the reservoir.
Proceed now to bleed the air from th e circ uit.
