This manual is intended to Moto Guzzi Dealers and their qualified mechanics; several concepts have been deliberately omitted as they are considered unnecessary. As it is not possible to include complete mechanical notions in this manual, users should have basic mechanical knowledge or minimum knowledge about the procedures involved when repairing scooters.

INADEQUATE CHARGING OF THE BATTERY WITH A LOW LEVEL OF ELECTROLYTE BEFORE IT IS FIRST USED SHORTENS THE LIFE OF THE BATTERY. CAUTION WHEN INSTALLING THE BATTERY, ATTACH THE POSITIVE LEAD FIRST AND THEN THE NEG- ATIVE ONE, AND PERFORM THE REVERSE OPERATION DURING REMOVAL.

The excess fluid temporarily fills the front reservoir (18-19) until the ABS pump (17) self-activates and delivers the fluid back to the brake pump (2-5).

The presence of air is signalled by the "sponginess" of the brake control and by poor braking efficiency.
