Main Menu Application Controls

Standby

This option turns off the video display but leaves the scheduler portion of the application run-
ning in the background.
When Standby is selected:

The Dig ita l VCR icon app ears in the Task Ba r
When in Standby, the Digital VCR will automatically wake up to record any programs that have
been added to the recording schedule. Recording is done in the background.
To enter Standby mode, press the
from the list. Or, hold the
will close, placing an icon in the Task Bar on the desktop.
To wake up from Standby mode, press the

there. A menu will pop out with selections for Standby/Wake Up and Quit.

Quit

Choosing 4XLW will exit the Digital VCR application. Exiting the application is different than

rather than place it in Standby when you want to use your PC for graphics and audio-intensive
activities, such as playing video games.
If recordings are scheduled, a warning dialog will appear as a reminder that recordings will not
take place while the application is shut down. In the dialog box, click <HV to quit, or 1R to
return to Digital VCR.
