Show Information
When you set up a show to be recorded, you have the option of adding descriptive text that will
appear in the Information section of the Recorded Shows window. Two text fields are available,
Title and Description.
The Title field is the top line of the Information section, and is the shorter of the two text
entries. Use this for the most important to-the-point description of your recording. For example,
"Hockey Championship". This text appears when viewing show titles when sorted by category.
This text should be kept brief.
The Description field is larger and allows more detail to be entered. Remember that this field's
text does not appear until the show is selected. So for the Hockey game described above, the
Description field could hold "Game 3 from Thursday night with the great scoring rally in the last
3 minutes - Wow!".
Editing Show Information
If a show has been recorded without a description, or if you need to change the description
entered previously, text can be added from your PC keyboard while on this page.
To change or add text:
1. Open the Recorded Shows window.
2. Select and open the category window that contains the show to be edited.
3. Select the show for which you want to add or change the description.
4. The show's current title and description are displayed in the Information section of the
window.
5. Click the (GLW button in the Information section.
6. The description editing window opens.
7. Use your PC keyboard to add text to the 7LWOH and 'HVFULSWLRQ fields as needed.
8. Press (QWHU to save your changes
To exit without saving your edits, press the
key on the PC keyboard, or click the >%DFN@ button in the text edit window.
Deleting a Recorded Show
You can also delete recorded programs from the Recorded Shows page. The process of delet-
ing a show works in a similar manner to the recycle bin on your PC desktop. Any show that is
