Channel Setup
On this page, you select which channels will be available when you press the channel up/down
buttons on the remote control. In addition, you can choose a group of channels to appear as
Favorites - a subset of your entire channels list.
Channels in your setup can be saved in one of three states:

Adding Channels
Managing your channels is very easy. Channels can be added directly from this page. A chan-
nel's status can also be set, allowing it to be Active, Hidden, or selected as a Favorite.
To scan for occupied channels:
1. Press the

3. Select Channel Setup from the Options menu.
4. The Channel Setup page opens.
5. If you have no channels defined, Digital VCR will offer to add the current channel. Press

7. When the scan is complete, the channel list will be displayed allowing you to edit individ-
ual channels.
To add a channel:
1. Press the

3. Select &KDQQHO 6HWXS from the Options menu.
4. The Channel Setup page opens.
5. Press the
6. Type in the channel number you want to add using your PC keyboard.
7. Press the (QWHU key on your keyboard.
8. Another text box opens. Type in the name (if desired) for this channel. The text field here
is only large enough to accept a few letters. Use something easy to recognize, like the
network name (i.e., PBS, NBC, ESPN, etc.).
9. Press the (QWHU key on your keyboard.
10. Continue adding channels until finished.
The status for each channel is also edited on this page. You can change these settings at any
time.
