5. When finished, Windows will present a text screen stating that the driver has been
installed successfully.
6. Hit the )LQLVK button to exit.
Installing the Digital VCR Software
Installing the Software for the First Time
The steps below will guide you through the process of installing your new software. If your CD-
ROM is set to auto-launch, the Installation Wizard (setup.exe) will start immediately. Follow the
prompts to begin installing the software on your computer.

To start the Installer manually:
1. Locate the Digital VCR installation program, 6HWXSH[H, found on your install disk.
2. Double-click on the 6HWXSH[H file to begin installing the Digital VCR software.
3. The Welcome screen opens.
4. Click the 1H[W button to continue.
5. Read the license agreements presented by the installer.
6. Click the <HV button to agree and continue, or click 1R to exit the installer.
7. On the next page, select a destination folder. The installer will place all of the program
files in this location. A default location is already selected. Click the 1H[W button to
accept the default location or click the %URZVH button to select a different folder.
8. On the next page, select a program folder for the application icons and shortcuts. A
default location is already selected.
9. Click the 1H[W button to continue.
The Installation Wizard places the Digital VCR application on your hard drive, along with a
copy of the Setup Wizard, help files, and documentation. The device driver for your new PCI
card is also installed at this point. After copying the application software to your hard drive, the
installer proceeds automatically to the Setup Wizard. The Setup Wizard windows are explained
in detail in the next section.
