The Remote Control is not working

Check th at the Infrared Remote Sensor cab le is firmly se ated in the so cke t on
the D igit al V CR c ar d.

Check the batteries in the remote co ntro l; replace them with fresh AAA 1.5-
vo lt batteries to b e certain . Bo th batte ries ne ed to b e firmly seated insid e the
re mo te co ntro l, an d th ey n eed to be or ie nted as shown on the i nside of th e
bat te ry compa r tmen t.

Nothing happens when the remote control Menu button is pressed.

appl ication i s n ot a vaila ble , it is possib le that th e option to a utomaticall y start
the Dig ita l VCR a ppli cati on w as not sele cte d duri ng setup . L aunch th e Setup
Wizard (DVSetup .exe ) . Go the Prog ra m Options pa ge. T here i s a check box
for the optio n Au to ma ti cally sta r t Dig ita l VCR. Cl ick this check box to enab le
the o ption. Save th e new Setti ngs and e xi t the Setup Wi zard.
The Windows desktop cannot be seen when Digital VCR is running.

the fea tu re . T hen, select a d efaul t window size fro m the Screen Size po p-up
box. Yo u ca n a lso sp ecify a lo ca ti on on th e desktop where the wind ow shoul d
be pla ce d by typi ng in coord inates in the X/Y bo xes.

Ma in Menu, select Optio ns. T hen, select Displ ay from the men u. Ch oose on e
of the o ption s fo r di splay size; you r disp lay si ze wi ll b e ch ange d i mme diatel y.
Displa y Size can a lso be chan ged from the Di splay Wi ndow s, click on
Optio ns, th en click on Displ ay Si ze. Ch oose on e o f the optio ns for disp lay
si z e.
The Setup Wizard will not allow the recording space size to be edited after the initial
installation.

In ord er to mana ge th e free sp ace on your hard d ri ve, the record ing space
parameter can be ad justed from wi th in Digi ta l VC R. From th e Ma in Menu ,
se lect Option s, then Storage .

You can de lete th e defaul t MPG fo lder to allo w the crea ti on of a n ew one . By
dele ti ng, yo u will lo se a ny re corded p ro gram fi les th at are in the MPG fold er.
Ba ck these file s up i f you wan t to keep them.

If yo u need a dditio nal record ing spa ce , you can d esign ate a d iffe r ent fol der
and/or a diff erent hard di sk as th e d efaul t recordi ng fo lder. T his is done from
the Se tu p W izard (DVSetup.exe ). Lau nch th e Se tu p Wizard . Go the Storag e
Optio ns p age . Edit the D irectory Path di re ctly or click th e Bro wse butto n to
se lect a new fold er and /or ha rd drive fr om the Wind ows dia log b ox by navig at-
ing di re ctly to th e l ocation .
