Format SD memory card

To copy recorded images onto an SD memory card, an unformatted SD memory card or an SD memory card
formatted with a PC or another device is required to be formatted with this product.
Important:
• Formatting will delete all data and setup information stored on an SD memory card. Image data once
deleted cannot be restored.
• This product cannot format the external storage device connected to the copy port "COPY". Format the
medium using a PC.
Step 1
Click the [Copy] button on the operation panel of the
main monitor. (☞ Page 135)
The copy panel will be displayed.

Click the [Advanced] button. (☞ Page 135)
The setup menu (advanced) will be displayed.

Step 3
Click the [Execute >] button for "SD card format".
The confirmation window will be displayed.

Step 4
Click the [OK] button.
Formatting of the SD memory card will start, and

a window indicating that formatting is in progress
will be displayed.
When formatting is completed, the format com-
pletion window will be displayed.
Important:
• Do not turn off the power of the recorder while
formatting is in progress.
