The gateway automatically looks for .cry file first and, if not successful, it will look
for a .cfg. The process is repeated 3 times in case the boot server doesn't respond
on the first request. Therefore, move the unencrypted <MAC>.cfg file out of the
/Config directory if you do not want it accidentally used by the gateway.
Changing the Configuration File Location
You can change the location of the configuration file by:
Changing the location using DHCP Option 66 or DHCP Custom Option
Changing the location through the SoundPoint IP 200W web interface
Changing the location through the configuration file
The configuration file will override any settings changed through the web user
interface.

To change the location of the configuration file through DHCP Option 66 or DHCP
Custom Option:
DHCP Custom Option 160 and Option 66 are enabled by default. This means that

the phone will look for a boot server from DHCP option 160 first. If none is found, it
will try Option 66. If none is found, it will use the firmware path stated in the
firmware server address field in the local web administration under the
management server section.
1. On the handset, press the OK key, then select the Settings > Network
Settings > DHCP > Boot Server, change to Option 66 or Custom, and
then press the OK key again.
2. Using the handset to specify string or IP address, press DHCP > Boot
Server Type, then press the OK key.
3. On your DHCP server, change to Custom Option or Option 66 and set the
IP address or FQDN of the boot server.
4. Select Reboot for the change to take effect.
When a gateway is reset, any active calls on the SoundPoint IP 200W will suspend

any reboot requests until the there is no active calls. The gateway will automatically
reset 15 seconds after the last call. If the Call light is lit on the gateway, there are
active calls.
