This chapter provides basic knowledge for you to consider when planning
your SoundPoint IP 200W phone deployment. This chapter contains guidance
on:

Network administration of the SoundPoint IP 200W phone is enabled through
three interfaces:
•
File transfer of a configuration file (HTTP or TFTP)
•
A local web interface
•
The handset user interface
The file transfer interface allows full access to all configuration parameters.
The local web interface allows access to only a limited set of configuration
settings. The handset user interface enables access to some VoIP account
setting (access is controlled by a simple PIN code scheme).
This guide provided information and instructions regarding the file transfer
administration interface.
The provisioning system for the SoundPoint IP 200W can consist of:
•
Configuration Server. Central server holding configurations such as
account information, CODEC priority setup, SMTP timeserver
configuration, and time zone. The configuration will be retrieved by the
telephone as a text file. The file can be AES-128 encrypted.
