Place a call on hold

If you wish to transfer a call or make a second call when creating a conference, for example, you will need
to put a call on hold as follows.
1 Press the New Call button
2 You will be presented with dial tone. External callers will be played "music on hold" (if
configured) and internal callers will hear an intermittent beep.
3 To retrieve the call press the Hang Up button
For details of the "music on hold" configured on your system please refer to your System Administrator.

Transfer a call

Announced Transfer

1 Place the call on hold by pressing the New Call button
2 Enter the number to be dialled (internal or external number).
3 Wait for the call to be answered and announce the caller
4 To transfer the call replace your handset or, if you are using hands free, press the
Speaker button.
or or
Press the Transfer button. You will no longer have control of the call.
Alternatively,
4 To clear the call that you are currently connected to and return to the original call press
the Hang Up button, or wait for the other end to hang up.
Alternatively,
4 To return to the original call and place the second call on hold, press the Switch button.
5 Use the Switch button to toggle between the two calls.
