What Happens When FAX/TEL AUTO SW is Selected

F/T RING TIME
(Factory default
setting=22 sec.)
You select these options in the RX MODE submenu of the RECEIVE (RX)
SETUP menu when the FAX/TEL AUTO SW is selected. See below to change
the settings.

MultiPASS L90 listens for FAX TONE
FAX TONE is not detected
MultiPASS L90 starts ringing
If you don't pick up the handset (within 22 seconds)
F/T SW ACTION
Choose between:
Receive (factory default setting) and Disconnect
(Factory default setting)
Not all fax machines are capable of sending a FAX TONE. For those cases if you set the F/T
SW ACTION to RECEIVE, the MultiPASS L90 switches to receive mode automatically and
starts receiving the document. If no document comes in, it disconnects after approximately
35 seconds.
* When you set the outgoing message to ON.

MultiPASS L90 answers without ringing.
(For 8 sec.)
FAX TONE detected
RECEIVE
Fax
Sending document
automatically
Document received
automatically.
(FAX TONE is detected
and the MultiPASS L90
switches to receive mode.)
Pick up the handset
to talk.
DISCONNECT
The MultiPASS L90
disconnects the call.
