The paper must withstand the unit's fusing temperature of 200 C without
deterioration. Use paper that will not melt, vaporize, discolour, or emit
dangerous fumes at this temperature.
Make sure the paper is free of dust, lint, and oil stains.
Before purchasing large quantities of paper, be sure to test a sample.
Avoid paper with embossed lettering, perforations, or paper that is highly
textured, extremely smooth or shiny.
Damp, wrinkled, curled, or torn paper can cause paper misfeed, paper jams,
and excessive wear of the unit.
The paper must be delivered in sealed packed, protected from humidity and
physical damage.
The paper must meet the requirements for plain white paper (see above).
The paper must be free of colour coating.
Choose coloured paper that meets the same specifications for plain paper
(Qp. 7-2).
Do not use extremely heavy or stiff paper. Heavy paper can misfeed, cause
paper jams, and excessive wear of the unit.
Be sure to select paper within the specifications listed on page 7-2.
