Choosing a Location for Your MultiPASS L90
Before unpacking your MultiPASS L90, be sure to follow these guidelines to
choose the best location for your unit.

Getting Started
Choose a cool, dry, clean area:
Make sure the area is free from dust.
Make sure the area's temperature is within 10 C and 32.5 C.
Make sure the area's relative humidity is within 20%-80%.
Avoid direct sunlight. If you have to place the unit near a window, install
heavy curtains or blinds.
Place the unit near a standard 220-240 V AC power outlet and a telephone
line jack.
Do not plug the unit into a circuit that is also used by appliances such as air
conditioners, electric typewriters, or copiers. Such appliances generate
electrical noise that can interfere with faxing documents.
Make sure the MultiPASS L90 is near your computer and easily accessible.
Set the unit on a flat, sturdy, stable surface.
Do not set up the unit near a television, radio, or heavy equipment that can
generate strong electromagnetic fields.
Do not use or store the unit outdoors.
