1
-
GENERAL
This supplement
supplies
information
necessary for
the
operation
of
the
airplane
when
the
optional
King
KAP/KFC
150 Series Flight Control
System
is installed.
The Flight Control System must be operated within
the
limitations
herein specified. The
information
contained
within this supple-
ment
is to be
used
in
conjunction
with the
complete
handbook.
This supplement
has
been
FAA Approved
as a permanent
part of
this
handbook
and must
remain
in this
handbook
at all
times
when
the
optional
King
KAP/KFC
150 Series
Flight
Control System is installed.
SECTION 2
-
LIMITATIONS
(a)
During autopilot
operation,
a pilot with seat belt fastened must be
seated at
the
left pilot position.
(b)
The autopilot
must be OFF
during takeoff
and landing.
(c)
The system is approved
for Category
I operation
only (Approach
mode selected).
(d)
Maximum
fuel
imbalance
-
12 gallons.
(e)
Autopilot
airspeed
limitation: Maximum 180
KIAS.
NOTE
In accordance
with FAA
recommendation,
use
of
"altitude
hold" mode is not
recommended
during
operation
in
severe
turbulence.

In
case
of
Autopilot
malfunction:
(accomplish
items 1. and 2.
simultaneously)

and regain
aircraft control.

and HOLD.

AP
DISC/ TRIM

Switch

RELEASE
while observing
pitch
trim
wheel. If pitch
trim
wheel
is in
motion,
follow the
Electric
Trim
Malfunction
Procedure.
