When
BC
is
selected,
the
lateral
operating
mode will change
from HDG
(if
selected) to
wings
level for 5
seconds.
A 45° intercept
angle will
then be
established
based
on
the
position
of the bug.
If the D-Bar is
greater than
2 to 3 dots: the
autopilot
will annunciate
HDG
(unless
HDG
not selected)
and BC modes with APR
flashing;
when
the
computed
capture point
is
reached
the
HDG annunciator
will go
out,
the
BC and
the
APR annunciators
will
illuminate
steady and
the
selected course will be automatically
captured
and
tracked.
If the D-Bar
is
less than 2 to 3 dots: the HDG mode
will disengage
upon
selecting BC mode; the APR and
BC annunciators
will
illuminate
steady
and
the
capture
track
sequence will automatically
begin.
