PRECAUTIONS
If
the
radar
is
to
be
operated
while the aircraft
is on the ground:
(l)
Direct
nose of aircraft
such
that antenna
scan sector
is free of
large metallic objects
(hangars,
other aircraft) for a distance of
100 yards
(90
meters), and tilt antenna
fully
upward.
WARNING
Do
not
operate
the radar
during
refueling
operations
or
in
the vicinity
of trucks
or
containers
accommodating
flammables
or
explosives;
do
not allow personnel
within
15
feet
of area
being
scanned
by
antenna
when
system
is transmitting.

No changes to the
basic
performance
provided by Section
5
of
the Pilot's
Operating Handbook
are necessary for this supplement.
