Gun Temperature – During hardcore combat events, your guns can overheat
and temporarily stop working. You must let them cool down before firing
again. If this progress bar fills up completely, your guns have overheated.
Targeting-
The Targeting gadget displays the player you currently have selected as your target.
The avatar for the intended target will appear with their name and score for the current
game. Below this will show their Tagline from the targeted player's Pilot Profile.
The Targeting gadget also controls whether the targeting indicator (red triangle) will
appear around the selected target's aircraft. This triangle only appears if the gadget is
on screen and a player is selected. If no player is targeted, it will read "No Target
Selected."

While a game is in progress, the QuickSelect buttons take on new
functions. If the targeting gadget is enabled, pressing the Cancel
button will cycle through the different modes for the Targeting gadget,
including:
Note that when you reset your aircraft, the Targeting gadget may select a new player
depending on the targeting settings. See page 106 on how to select the method which
the Targeting gadget will operate each time you reset.
• Activating the gadget and targeting the last player you had
selected as a target.
• Leaving the gadget on the screen, but deactivating the current
target; no players are targeted
• Removing the gadget altogether. No players are targeted
when the gadget is removed.
