Throttle position sensor maxi-
mum resistance
2.64–6.16 kΩ
c. Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1 k) to the
throttle position sensor as shown.
• Positive tester probe →
Yellow "3"
• Negative tester probe →
Black/blue "2"
d. While slowly turning the throttle position
sensor shaft, check that the throttle posi-
tion sensor resistance is within the speci-
fied range.
The resistance does not change or it
changes abruptly → Replace the throttle
position sensor.

3. Install:
• Throttle position sensor
TIP
When installing the throttle position sensor,
adjust its angle properly. Refer to "ADJUST-
ING THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR"
on page 7-9.

1. Check:
• Intake air pressure sensor output voltage
Out of specification → Replace.
Intake air pressure output volt-

3.57–3.71 V at 101.32 kPa

a. Connect the test harness S- pressure sen-
sor (3P) "1" to the intake air pressure sen-
sor and wire harness as shown.

Pay attention to the installing direction of
the test harness S- pressure sensor (3P)
coupler "a".
b. Connect the digital circuit tester (DCV) to
the test harness S- pressure sensor (3P).

c. Set the main switch to "ON".
d. Measure the intake air pressure sensor
output voltage.

(from the air filter case.)
