TROUBLESHOOTING
Any of the following fail to light: headlight, auxiliary light, high beam indicator light, taillight, license
plate light, meter light or storage box light.
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Front cowling assembly
2. Mudguard
1. Check the each bulbs and bulb
sockets condition.

2. Check the fuses.
(Main, headlight, ignition, parking
lighting and backup)

3. Check the battery.

4. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-123.

5. Check the dimmer switch.

6. Check the pass switch.

7. Check the headlight relay.

Replace the bulb(s) and bulb
socket(s).

Replace the fuse(s).

• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.

Replace the main switch/immobilizer
unit.
NG→
The dimmer switch is faulty. Replace
the left handlebar switch.
NG→
The pass switch is faulty. Replace the
left handlebar switch.
NG→
Replace the headlight relay.
