Loading Guidelines

Balance the load between the left and
right side of the motorcycle and fasten it
securely.
Place cargo weight as close to the cen-
ter of the motorcycle as possible.
Do not attach large or heavy items to the
handlebars, front forks or rear fender.
Check that both tires are properly
inflated to the specified tire pressure for
your loading conditions. Refer to page 6-
53.
Improperly loading your motorcycle can
reduce your ability to balance and steer
the motorcycle. You should ride at
reduced speeds, less than 130 km/h (80
mph), when the cargo is loaded or
accessory is fitted.
Adjust suspension setting as necessary.
 WARNING
Placing objects in the space behind the
fairing can interfere with steering and
can lose control.
Do not carry any objects in the space
behind the fairing.
