1.5.9 Inspection on VIDEO DETECT Function

This inspection is intended to confirm that a normal [VIDEO DETECT] function is available for the OSM
menu and that the VIDEO INPUT port is automatically changed over according to the combination of the
VIDEO INPUT signals.
Signal: 23 (SXGA, SEPARATE): All White
Signal: 27 (SXGA, SYNC on GREEN): Optional two screens
* The basic signal timing for Signal 27 is the same as that for Signal 26. However, since an output of
[SYNC on GREEN] is needed in the initial condition, setting is made on the assumption that this signal
is different from the other.
Inspection equipment needed:
Signal Source 1 (VG-819): For analog output.
Signal Source 2 (enabled to generate an analog output that is equivalent to that of the VG-812): For
analog output.
Cable intended to send out an analog output of Signal Source 1 to the DVI-I connector (INPUT1).
Cable intended to send out an analog output of Signal Source 2 to the D-SUB connector (INPUT2).
Initial conditions:
Signal Source 1: Set at Signal 27.
Signal Source 2: Set at Signal 23.
An analog output of Signal Source 2 should be entered in INPUT2.
An analog output of Signal Source 1 should be entered in INPUT1.
The video input should be set at INPUT2.
Method of inspection:
1) Starting from the initial state, open the [VIDEO DETECT] in the OSM menu tool.
Adjust the cursor to the [LAST DETECT] and press the EXIT key three times to close the OSM menu.
