Im portant
• Do not let the sealing a re a around the
center bore of the head touch the shaft
as the head is low ered.
• Do not rotate the front head (16) to line
up with the dowel pins b eca u se this will
contact the reed container.
• Lubricate the seal (17) and groove with clean
5 2 5 viscosity refrigerant oil.
• C o at the inside of the shell (9) with clean 52 5
viscosity refrigerant oil.
• Position the shell (9) on the internal assembly.
Rest the shell (9) on the seal.
• W ith the flat side of a sm all screwdriver, posi­
tion the seal (17) in a round, circle sh ap e to the
inside of the shell (9).
• S lide the shell (9) down. Line up the oil sum p
with the oil intake tu b e hole.
• R em o ve J 21352.
• Install the com pressor into J 9396.
• Lubricate the oil pick-up tu be (44) with clean
5 2 5 viscosity refrigerant oil.
• P lace the oil pick-up tu be (44) in the cavity.
• R otate the com pressor assem b ly to align the
tu be (44) with the hole in the shell baffle.
