• Align the scribe m arks on the ca se halves.
• C h ec k that the m ating surfaces of the differential
case and the ring g e a r are clean and burr free.
5. Ring g ear (14) to the differential (figure 16).
• T h read two left-hand th read ed studs into the
ring g ear on opposite sides.
• P lace the ring g ear onto the case, and align
the holes in the case with the studs.
• Press the ring g ear onto the case far enough
to start the bolts using J 8107 to protect the
differential from the press ram.
