To create a disk array:
1. From the Dashboard menu, click the Disk Array link.
2. Click the Create Disk Array button.
3. Accept the defaults or make changes:
• Enter an alias in the Alias field with a maximum of 32 characters (letters, numbers and spaces
between characters).
• Enable Media Patrol – Uncheck to disable on this array. For more information, see Media Patrol.
• Enable PDM – Uncheck to disable on this array. For more information, see PDM.
4. In the Select Physical Drives diagram, click drives to add them to your array. The drive carriers turn
blue when you click them. The physical drives' ID numbers will appear in the field below the diagram.
When you have finished your settings and choices, click the Submit button.

The new array will appear in the list.
• If you are done creating disk arrays, click the Finish button.
• To create additional disk arrays, click the Create More button.
After you create a disk array, create a logical drive on it. See Creating a Logical Drive Manually.
