Adding a user
Add a new user. You can add up to 1,000 users (including
the default login user name).
User Name/login user name/Password/Access Level are
mandatory at user registration.
1. Log in as a user with administrator rights.
2. If user login is disabled, the user authentication
screen appears. Enter your login user name and
password and then press [Login].
Initial setting: 5050
3. Press [Next] of User Login Setting, [Register/Edit]
of Local User List, and then [Add].
4. Press [Change] of User Name.
5. Enter the user name (up to 32 characters) and
press [OK].
6. Enter the login user name (up to 64 characters) and
E-mail address following 4 and 5 above.
7. Press [Change] of Password and then [Password].
8. Enter the login password (up to 64 characters) and
press [OK].
9. Press [Confirm Login Password].
10. Enter the same login password to confirm and
press [OK].
11. Press [Change] of Access Level.
12. Select the user access privilege ([User] or [Admin-
istrator]) and press [OK].
13. Press [Change] of Account Name.
14. Select the account and press [OK].
15. Press [Register] to add a new user on the local user
list.

(10) Job accounting

The status of fax use per account can be known for up to
1,000 accounts for sending of originals and making com-
munication reservation after entering Account ID.
Enabling/Disabling job accounting
1. If user login is disabled, the user authentication
screen appears. Enter your login user name and
password and then press [Login].
To log in with administrator privileges.
Initial setting: 5050
2. Press [Next] of Job Accounting Setting, and then
[Change] of Job Accounting.
3. Press [On].
To disable job accounting, press [Off].
4. Press [OK].
Adding an account
Add a new account.
1. If user login is disabled, the user authentication
screen appears. Enter your login user name and
password and then press [Login].
To log in with administrator privileges.
Initial setting: 5050
2. Press [Next] of Job Accounting Setting, [Register/
Edit] of Accounting List, and then [Add].
3. Press [Change] of Account Name.
4. Enter the account name (up to 32 characters) and
press [OK].
5. Enter the account ID (eight digits) following 3 and 4.
Setting range: 0 to 99999999
6. Activate or deactivate restriction.
7. Press [Register] to add a new account on the
Account List.
FAX send restriction
Restrict the number of fax sheets that can be sent. You
can prohibit the use of this sending function or cancel the
sending restriction.
1. If user login is disabled, the user authentication
screen appears. Enter your login user name and
password and then press [Login].
To log in with administrator privileges.
Initial setting: 5050
2. Press [Next] of Job Accounting Setting, [Register/
Edit] of Accounting List, and then [Add].
3. Press [Change] of Fax TX Restriction.
4. Select [Off] (no restriction given), [Counter Limit]
(restricts the print counter in one-page increments
up to 999,999 pages), or [Reject Usage] (restriction
is applied).
When [Counter Limit] is selected, enter the number
of pages using the [+]/[-] or numeric keys.
Setting range: 1 to 999999
5. Press [OK].
6. Press [Register]. The restricted account is added.
Fax port restriction
If job accounting is enabled, you can restrict access so
that departments can only use one port.
This function is useful when the optional dual FAX is
installed.
1. If user login administration is invalid, the user
authentication screen is displayed. Enter a login
user name and password, and press [Login].
2. Press [Next] of Job Accounting Setting, [Register/
Edit] of Accounting List, and then [Add].
3. Press [Change] of FAX Port Restriction.
4. Select [Off], [Use Port 1 Only], or [Use Port 2 Only].
5. Press [OK].
Counting the number of used sheets
Reset the counting, referring to the number of fax sheets
to be sent and the time required for sending fax by all the
accounts or by account.
Total job accounting/Resetting the counter
Count the number of pages for all accounts and reset the
counts for those accounts together at the same time.
1. If user login is disabled, the user authentication
screen appears. Enter your login user name and
password and then press [Login].
To log in with administrator privileges.
Initial setting: 5050
2. Press [Next] of Job Accounting Setting and then
[Next] of Total Job Accounting.
3. Press [Check] at the function to check the count.
The results will be displayed.
